The Crane Diptych

Nashville's skyline has been crowded with cranes for several years now. As the city grows and expands rapidly, construction sites are displacing the ecosystems that inhabit the different trees and bushes. As a result, more squirrels are populating fewer trees, hunting the mourning doves, and the starlings are finding alternative spaces to create their nest. One of those new spaces has been in my planter on my balcony. While I've long lost hope for my plant to live, the mourning doves have returned 7 times to create their nest  

I understand there is a larger conversation about construction sites and the environment, but for the purpose of this project, I wanted to narrow my focus to something that really hits home for me.
